This renovated Public Library was granted to the City of
Newport in 1899 and built that same year. After remaining
a library for over 100 years, the community had outgrown
the building and sold it to the City of Newport to use as
office space. In 2007, David Hosea purchased this charming
piece of history and renovated it to the masterpiece it is today.
While undergoing its transformation, no stone was left
unturned. Rooms were dressed with the finest antiques,
with the addition of elegant carpeting and custom draperies to adorn the oversized windows,
this building has become one of the most unique venues to hold any special event in Northern
Kentucky.
The Carngie Event Center can accomodate from 20-100 guests, and never allows more than
one event at a given time. We feel that your special event should be just that, YOURS!
